One Night Only are a British Indie Pop band. I decided to analyse their music video for their new single ‘Say You Don’t Want It’ in order to develop my understanding of Goodwin’s music video theory in practice and the codes and conventions of an Indie boy band music video. One Night Only’s music video for ‘Say You Don’t Want It’ contains elements of a concept, narrative and a performance music video. It is based on the concept of the lady and the tramp and depicts a short, puppy love, romance between the lead singer and Emma Watson. It also has occasional shots of the band performing the song on a rooftop with the iconic New York skyline visible behind them.
